Here’s the steps to APPLY
(1) Submit your Application for Review
To ensure we can tailor our support to meet your needs, we kindly invite you to complete a brief application form. It only takes about 15 minutes and will help us provide the best possible experience for you.
Rest assured, your information will be kept strictly confidential and used solely to create an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone thrives. By taking part in this process, you’re helping us ensure that every session is tailored to your unique strengths and goals.
Once we receive your application, it will be carefully assessed within 24-72 hours to determine if we’re the right fit for your needs. Details as to why applications may be declined can be found by scrolling down this page.
(2) Welcome Email and Pre-Assessment Booking Link
Once accepted, you’ll receive a welcome email with a booking link to schedule a pre-session assessment.
In this call, we’ll take the time to understand what drives you, whether you’re aiming to perform, pick up a new hobby, or just have fun with family at home. Together we will discuss your setup, skill level, goals, and pricing options to decide if a single session or a discounted bundle of lessons would be best for you.
(3) Payment Link
Following your Pre-Session Assessment you will be sent a secure payment link. Simply follow the link and the on-screen instructions to complete your payment via BACS, Direct debit or Debit/Credit Card.

(4) Booking Confirmation
After your payment is processed, we’ll call you to personally welcome you and arrange your first session. This is the perfect opportunity to ask any questions not already covered before your first session. Together we will agree your session dates and confirmation of your booking will be emailed to you the same day.
(5) Your First Session
Depending on the outcome of your online assessment, we understand you may feel nervous or unprepared and so will ensure we sent clear guidance beforehand (e.g., equipment setup, materials to bring, software installation, etc.) so you can feel prepared for your session and avoid feeling overwhelmed. Whether you have your own equipment or not, this session is tailored to your unique needs and focus on your experience, goals, and music preferences.
(6) Ongoing Lessons and Support
If you choose to continue after your initial session, you can easily book additional discounted lessons in blocks of 3, 6 or 12 90-minute sessions. We offer a range of payment plans offered to ensure we find something that works for you.
Personalised Learning Plan:
After your first session, we’ll develop a customised learning plan tailored to your unique needs and aspirations. Whether you’re focusing on mastering technical skills, building confidence for live performances, or planning your own events, your plan will be aligned with your goals. Each lesson will be personalised to ensure you progress at your own pace, with continuous feedback and encouragement to help you succeed. As you advance, we’ll adapt the plan to meet your evolving needs, ensuring ongoing progress.
Flexible Learning:
We know life can be unpredictable, however will setup sessions in a way that works for you – weekly, fortnightly on the same day where possible – these are designed to fit around your schedule and learning style. Whether you prefer in-person or online sessions, individual or group learning, we’ll accommodate what works best for you. Need to reschedule? Just give us notice, and we’ll do our best to adjust to your timing.
Support Beyond Lessons:
As part of the Mischemix Academy community, you’ll join a collective of passionate DJs who share your journey. This supportive group offers encouragement, shared experiences, and ongoing motivation. You’ll also gain exclusive access to additional resources to fuel your creativity and sharpen your skills. Opportunities for collaboration and peer feedback will further enhance your growth and keep things fun.
At Mischemix DJ Academy, 1:1 sessions are customised and personalised to provide, hands-on training that aligns with your goals and skill level.
Why might my application not be accepted?
We encourage you to review your application to ensure it’s complete and accurate. Below are some reasons why an application might not be approved:
- Incomplete or Inaccurate Information: If your application is missing essential details, contains inconsistencies, or includes inaccurate information, we may be unable to assess it accurately. This could lead to a delay or result in the application being declined.
- Inadequate Fit: Our Academy is built on specific values and goals. If your profile or objectives do not align with our mission or the focus of our community, we may determine that it isn’t the right fit for you at this time. However, we encourage you to stay in touch as our programs and opportunities evolve.
- Security Considerations: To ensure the safety and integrity of our community, all applications are subject to review. Applications may be declined if there are concerns regarding false identities, suspicious activity, or any information that may compromise the security of our members and the Academy. We take safeguarding seriously and aim to create a safe, supportive environment for everyone.
